Q: What excites you most about the future of technology?

Call me old school, but I’m not a techie at heart; I prefer pen and paper. Learning new technologies is always a bit of a challenge, however, I’m quite interested in AI and taking active steps to educate myself on the space, its risks, challenges, and benefits.

Q: What has been one of your favourite moments as part of Lumine?

Since 2020, I have led and grown a team that has helped to accomplish more than most HR professionals might accomplish in 2 decades! Starting as a sole HR person back in July 2020, to now overseeing a decentralized global team of over 40+ HR team members, completing 19 acquisitions, and being listed on the TSX Venture Exchange. The list of what the entire HR community has accomplished is truly incredible, and there is so much more to be done.

Standing in front of the bell at the Toronto Stock Exchange building was the ultimate culmination of multiple years of endless piles of work and overcoming challenges to bring Lumine to the point of becoming an independent public company. It was quite surreal.

Q: For sellers, what makes Lumine Group unique?

Lumine offers a home to your business. You will be in trusted hands we will work with you to give you the tools and resources you need to take your business to the next level. We have an amazing community of leaders and subject matter experts who are invested in your success for the long term.

Q: What values do you live by?

Honesty, authenticity, and determination.

Q: What does leadership mean to you?

Being a leader means trusting, empowering, and inspiring those around you. To create a space that encourages people to take challenges, beyond what they think they are capable of, and to learn safely from their mistakes.

Q: What advice to software leaders looking to be acquired?

Be curious. Curiosity is a quality that makes you want to learn or know more about something. It is exploratory behavior that helps you gain knowledge and understanding.  Embrace each moment as an opportunity to learn and be willing to admit mistakes and failures along the way.
